rts and Sciences Articles
Visitors will notice a new layout and new Books in the Arts and Sciences Library. Any member of the Shire and a few select friends add to the Library. The login is near the bottom of the right-hand column. Your name and password are the same ones you used in the Domesday Booke. I will be phasing in these new pages as I get to them. If there are any problems, please let me know. Thanks, Alaxandar an Chobhlaigh mac Lochloinn, ( alaxandr@mountainfreehold.org ).
What's on the shelves?
Brewing & Vinting articles are posted. These articles include "Yes, You Can Make Beer!" (for the Panther Vale Collegium, March 17, 2007), "Distilled Spirits in England, 1559 A.D", "Making Hard Cider" and "Making Mead" By Cenwulf and Marieke and "Classic Stormbrew, a recipe for sweet young mead" By Arastorm the Golden. Other articles will be posted.
The Cooking Section has Panteria Feast Handouts, and an article on Food History and 'Periodness' of Foods. The
Recipes from The Cooks' Booke are still at their old location until I change them over.
Not all of the Amusements have been switched to the new pages. You know you're in the SCA when ... is still in the same book. The Music has moved to these sheafs of paper.
The History of Mountain Freehold (By Duchess Marieke) is still in the same place until I can figure out the best way to deal with it. Montanaro's Medieval Period (By Dante) pages have likewise stayed put.
For Heraldry and Name Research, visit the St.Gabriel site Saxon Names for Women (By Marieke) and this Heraldy Primer (By Dante)
Garb & Textile articles including "What are Favors?", "A Field Guide to Lozenge Twill in Early Northern Europe", Simple Viking Clothing for Women" and "For Men" (All By Marieke).
To send us off in grand style, there's Dante and some metal-working pages in the old format.
