The Middle Ages (typically known as the period of history between 500 a.d. and 1500, or the period of time occuring after the fall of Rome and before the Rennaissance) is an era of human history that holds the fascination of a wide array of people. It was a romantic time of fables and legends, as well as a bloody era of constant war and conquest... the Middle Ages encapsulated the rawest form of the Human Spirit, and founded the basis of the society and ideals we hold today in the 21st Century.

These articles, loosely grouped into Montanaro's Medieval Period, are designed to serve the viewing public with some informative historical information, and a greater understanding of the Middle Ages, while providing a comprehensive reference for re-enactors, gamers, students, writers, Medieval buffs, or anyone else who might find a use for such information.

And finally, some Links that Montanaro has collected. This is, of course, nowhere near complete but instead reflect many of his interests.

Music

For the newcomer, music is tough to come by - "What's period?" is a nearly impossible question. Even if it sounds medieval, are you really hearing a medieval song or not? Montanaro has collected a few tunes here:
