Medieval
culture was shaped and evolved not only from it's military movement,
but also by matters at home. "The Arts and Sciences" referred
to here are the unique facets of everyday life in the Middle Ages,
forming the foundation of a particular culture. The arts and sciences
are the keystone to a strong culture, and even the strongest warrior
race cannot exist without an evolving base of these. What made
the Romans culturally-superior to their adversaries wasn't just
their military might, but also their architecture, their sanitation,
aqueducts, roads, philosophies, and so forth.
